Welcome
Welcome to our school
We are a small, rural, primary school, with a roll of around 80 children, and we are regularly oversubscribed in some year groups. Our catchment area is geographically large, but has a small population, and covers Kirklington, Maplebeck and Winkburn. This means that many of our children seek admission from beyond the catchment area; from Bilsthorpe, Farnsfield, Southwell and even further afield, such as Ollerton, Rainworth and Eakring.
We have four classes: EYFS, infant, lower junior and upper junior, and children are taught in similar age groups by teachers with specialist subject knowledge. Our class structure is flexible to allow for changing numbers and fluctuations, and is reviewed every year. Regardless of class in which a child is placed, we would aim to offer an education that cares for and develops the whole child and meets individual needs.
Our aim is to give our children as many worthwhile experiences as possible while at primary school – not just academic, but also sporting and creative – in order to enrich their education, extend their personal development and reach their full potential.
